  • Wolf is very proud and doesn't like to take advice (or at least, he'll dismiss it audibly, even if he takes it). He also has a habit of calling people "pup" as an insult, especially when he sees someone as less experienced than him. "Scum" is another insult he resorts to, though that's for people he personally dislikes -- such as Pigma -- or things he finds repulsive -- such as the Aparoids. As such, "scum" from Wolf is a very intense insult.

  • While Wolf is not an altruistic sort, he's also not an evil person. He's a criminal, and he's willing to do some pretty nasty things for money, but he draws the line at completely unforgiveable acts and is more than willing to risk his life for free if it's to help large numbers of people -- though that's not entirely selfless, and a good part of it is self-preservation as well. This is best shown in Assault, where Star Wolf shows up repeatedly to help out against the Aparoids and ask for nothing in return -- to the point he and the rest of Star Wolf used themselves as living bait to draw the Aparoid attention away from Star Fox so they could go after the Queen.

Another example of this is in Command. In the ending after you take control of Star Wolf, the group themselves gladly take the fame and criminal pardons after they saved the galaxy, with the implication they became a well-respected (and likely mostly-legal acting) mercenary team. Wolf seems willing to play by the world's rules, but only if it gets him something in return.

  • Wolf, despite being a criminal, puts a very big value on loyalty and is against greedy and distrustful natures -- which is the entire reason he kicked Pigma out of his team and went so far as to make him a "shoot on sight" target for his group. His values also show up in how loyal his subordinates in Sargasso Space Zone are, to the point they call him "Lord" O'Donnell.

  • Wolf doubles-up on contract signage. Basically, while he signs his name to merc contracts, he also stamps them with a personal stamp (with the Star Wolf logo), and will stamp copies individually. This is because each stamp attempt will look slightly different (intentionally, though only slightly different), meaning any paper that has an identical stamp to another paper is a forgery.
